Tourism in Kraków
For tourists, Kraków means above all the Old Town — and for the more curious visitor, the famous Kazimierz district and the area made famous by Schindler's List — Stare Podgórze — as well as Nowa Huta, and the now famous throughout Poland "Kraków Maldives": the stunning open-air pools and beach at the Zakrzówek reservoir. The reservoir was formed from a former quarry. It is surrounded by Jurassic limestone rocks, where you can dive, paddleboard, climb, visit Twardowski's Cave, and gaze out over the whole of Kraków from the clifftops.
Getting to the Maldives by tram takes around 15 minutes, or 30 minutes on foot.
Or perhaps the scenic kopce (mounds), the famous cycling route to Tyniec, or in the other direction to the royal town of Niepołomice?
Of course, the Kraków area — to the north, the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland (Jura) with its valleys, caves, climbing spots and wonderful castles.
To the south: mountains, mountains and even more mountains.
Kraków, the nearest surroundings and all of Małopolska — a must. You're welcome :)
If, in addition to Kraków, you'd also like to see the Tatras, we invite you to our "Niebieski Anioł" (Blue Angel) apartment in Kościelisko.
